China on Tuesday rejected allegations by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that China has provided support to Iran on certain components used in missile manufacturing, calling the accusation groundless.

At a regular press briefing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun responded to a reporter's question regarding Netanyahu's recent interview, in which the Israeli leader said he was not pleased with what he described as Chinese support for Iran on specific missile-related parts.

"China has stated its position for many times. As a responsible major country, China always strictly fulfills its due international obligations, commits to stopping war and promoting peace, and works to de-escalate the situation. We oppose groundless accusations that lack a factual basis," said Guo.
