Fatal traffic accident in Tai Po

Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident happened in Tai Po yesterday (May 16), in which a man died.

Police received a report at 10.32pm yesterday that a motorcycle driven by a 38-year-old man was travelling along Yuen Shin Road towards Sha Tin. When approaching Tolo Highway, it reportedly failed to brake in time and crashed into a fallen tree at the roadside.

Sustaining head injuries, the man was rushed to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 11.29pm yesterday.

Investigation by the Special Investigation Team 2 of Traffic, New Territories North is under way.
