Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei slammed the United States on Sunday for using the excuse of preserving peace and stability in global energy markets to justify its military operations against Iran.

Baqaei called the U.S. rhetoric a lie to defend its "illegal war of choice" in a social media post.

"It was the reckless warmongering of the U.S. and Israeli regimes that shattered promising diplomatic processes and, through an unprovoked military aggression against Iran, deliberately injected insecurity into vital energy routes," he said.

Baqaei pointed out that the U.S. is playing its old trick of manufacturing crisis and war, then escalating further under the noble banner of "restoring stability" and "defending peace."

Iranian Armed Forces spokesman Abolfazl Shekarchi also responded to recent U.S. statements regarding Iran, warning that any act to compensate for America's loss of face will only be met by more crushing and severe blows.

He also said that if the U.S. were to impose new military threats or actions against Iran, U.S. military assets and forces in the region would face new, offensive, surprising, and storm-like responses.

The year 2026 will be remembered as the year of Chinese brand, said Gregorio Lavilla, executive director of WorldSBK, after French racer Valentin Debise riding China's ZXMOTO claimed victory in Race 1 of the FIM Supersport World Championship at the Czech Round on Saturday.

"I think the success of this year is something really historical that maybe when we are in the future and looking back, we will remember 2026 as probably one of the key moments in the sport where the Chinese manufacturers really become a position into the world. I think, talking about our championship, for us, I think 2026 will be remembered as the year of Chinese brand, [which] has won the first race and is now a title contender," said Lavilla.

Following his Saturday victory, Debise won the Race 2 of the championship again on Sunday.

This marked the rider’s fifth win of the season with the Chinese motorcycle brand.
