Brand new staff members are helping speed up the workflow at a chicken farm in a rural county of southwest China's Guizhou Province, with intelligent inspection robots being deployed to carry out essential tasks, significantly reducing labor time and improving breeding efficiency.
The arrival of this modern technological assistance is being adopted in chicken farms in Jiangkou County of Tongren City, where the smart robots are programmed to automatically patrol the chicken houses along set routes, using inspection lights to scan the cages and monitor the health and growth conditions of the hens.
The robots conduct their inspections twice per day, with each round taking approximately one to two hours, freeing up the time for its human colleagues to concentrate on other important work.
"One robot can easily handle the inspection work for two chicken houses, saving 90 percent of the time compared to manual labor," said Liu Taide, a technician at local chicken farm in the Nuxi Township of Jiangkou County.
In addition to using robots, modern chicken farms in the county have installed fully automated breeding and egg processing lines, achieving comprehensive digital management throughout the entire farming process.
The robot revolution is already paying off for the local sector. In the first quarter of this year, the output of poultry eggs in Jiangkou County reached 7,400 tons, with the output value exceeding 112 million yuan (almost 16.5 million U.S. dollars).
