Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said on Saturday that Slovakia will not participate in NATO's new 70-billion-euro military funding commitment for Ukraine, according to a report by Russia's TASS News Agency.
Multiple media outlets have previously reported that NATO members are expected to pledge 70 billion euros in military aid to Ukraine at the NATO heads of state and government summit, scheduled for July 7-8.
In response, Fico said he has ordered the Slovak delegation to stay out of any plan to provide military support to Ukraine.

Oil prices declined on Wednesday.
The West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for December delivery lost 7.97 dollars, or 8.29 percent, to settle at 88.12 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for January delivery dropped to 8.98 dollars, or 8.67 percent, to settle at 94.62 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
The U.S. midterm elections led to the market expectations that the election outcome could intensify domestic and diplomatic pressure toward resolving conflicts in the Middle East.
Analysts noted that voter dissatisfaction with elevated fuel prices and broader inflation could push policymakers toward de-escalation.
