The war launched by the United States on Iran has cost each American household roughly 1,000 U.S. dollars, according to Mark Zandi, Moody's Analytics chief economist.
In his article published on Thursday, the 1,000-dollar cost includes extra fuel spending due to rising oil prices, the additional shopping and travel expenses caused by inflation, as well as the share of war-related expenditure borne by the U.S. government.
Zandi emphasized that his counting is conservative, adding that the true price Americans bear for this war could be higher than estimated.
