Many places in southwest China's Yunnan Province are doubling down on enriching their tourism offerings and improving related services to attract more visitors as the summer peak season approaches.

The Puzhehei scenic area in the province, famous for its Karst landforms and lucid waters, is offering more than just traditional activities like flower viewing, sightseeing, and water fights, but also interactive programs such as sunset concerts, ethnic cultural performances, and Yi ethnic dances.

Currently, over 60 percent of guest houses around the Puzhehei scenic area are booked.

Meanwhile, many other tourist attractions in Yunnan are collaborating to launch a series of cultural and tourism activities covering themes such as study tours, summer retreats, self-driving tours, and mushroom tasting -- a regional specialty.

"We have optimized the study tour routes, and enriched the popular science content in advance, while further improving our safety officer rotation, crowd control and parent-child service guarantee mechanisms, so that children can get close to nature and learn knowledge in a safe and orderly environment," said Wang Hui, deputy general manager of Yunnan Xishuangbanna Tropical Flowers Garden Operation and Management Co., Ltd.

Currently, the Yunnan cultural tourism consumption vouchers, totaling 70 million yuan, have begun to be distributed to all residents in Yunnan Province and tourists from across China.
