A construction site of Darkhovin nuclear power plant in southwestern Iran's Khuzestan province was attacked by U.S. projectiles on Sunday, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) said.
In a statement published on its official website, the AEOI said the attack took place at 03:39 local time (2409 GMT), calling it "an aggressive and brutal action" that violates Iran's national sovereignty and international law.
It did not say if there were any casualties or material damage involved in the attack.

The total computing capacity of China maintained growth in the first half of the year, according to Xie Cun, spokesman of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and director general of the ministry's Information and Communications Development Department. "As of the end of June, China's intelligent computing capacity reached 2,185 EFLOPS. The eastern, central, western, and northeastern regions accounted for 55.9 percent, 10.6 percent, 32.6 percent, and 0.9 percent of the national total, respectively. The overall utilization rate of computing facilities nationwide stood at 71.4 percent. Transmission channels continued to expand, with over 70 major channels built around national computing hubs in the past two years, improving their network performance by 10 percent," Xie told a press conference in Beijing.
"Next, we will continue to optimize the deployment of computing infrastructure, build nodes for computing connectivity, and improve utilization efficiency of computing resources," he said.
