The U.S. forces on Monday launched a new wave of strikes against Iran, marking the 10th consecutive day of U.S. attacks, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said.
Today at 16:00 ET, the U.S. forces began a new round of strikes against Iran at the Commander in Chief's direction, CENTCOM said on X.
The strikes are designed to further degrade Iranian military capabilities used to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, CENTCOM added.
Earlier on Monday, U.S. President Donald Trump vowed retaliation for the recent deaths of U.S. service members.
The U.S. Department of Defense on Monday identified two US soldiers who were killed in Iranian strikes in Jordan. The deaths, initially announced on Saturday, marked the first American casualties resulting from Iranian strikes since March.
It said on Sunday that another service member was killed in action during a controlled detonation of a downed Iranian drone, adding that the U.S. forces had located unidentified remains in Jordan after a service member had been listed as missing in action.
