Southwest China's Guizhou Province, with its distinctive cuisine and rich cultural offerings, is drawing rising numbers of international visitors as one of the country's most popular summer retreats.
Located in Zunyi, Shuanghe Cave is the world's third‑longest cave system and Asia's longest, shaped by hundreds of millions of years of geological activity into landscapes that reveal nature's raw beauty.
"I made this trip specially to visit Shuanghe Cave. When I touched the rocks, breathed the air, and heard the sound of the river, I was truly blown away. I felt as if I could sense the Earth from hundreds of millions of years ago. And Guizhou is so cool and comfortable. It's a truly unique experience," said Juliana, a tourist from Madagascar.
Guizhou has moved beyond traditional sightseeing, with local authorities introducing immersive cultural experiences that often delight visitors from both China and abroad.
"We had a wonderful and brand-new experience today. We visited a place called Suiyang, which has caves with natural flowing water inside. During the visit, we witnessed magnificent wonders of China, saw many new things, and gained experiences we could never have imagined before," said Laetitia, a tourist from Madagascar.
Rich intangible cultural heritage is another highlight, with local authorities promoting traditional handicrafts and cultural experiences that diversify tourism and give visitors deeper insight into China's many ethnic traditions.
"When I entered this shop, I saw there were so many different artworks -- bags, dolls, and clothes. I bought some clothes for myself. I think they are really beautiful. I also got to experience the tie-dyeing technique, which I found very special," said Wang Xiaoxuan, a tourist from Malaysia.
