China extends anti-dumping probe into pea starch imports from Canada

China's Ministry of Commerce said Friday that it will extend the ongoing anti-dumping probe into pea starch imports from Canada.

Given the complexity of the case, and following the relevant regulations, the ministry has decided to extend the probe until February 12, 2027, said a statement posted on the ministry's official website.

The anti-dumping probe into Canadian pea starch imports was launched on August 12, 2025.

On June 30, 2026, the ministry issued a preliminary ruling, and decided to impose provisional anti-dumping measures in the form of deposits on pea starch imports from Canada.

The Russian government has extended its full ban on fuel exports through Jan 31, 2027, the Russian cabinet announced Thursday.

The authorities imposed a new temporary export restriction covering gasoline, diesel, marine fuel and gas oil to stabilize Russia's domestic fuel market.

According to a signed government decree, the temporary export ban will take effect on Aug 1 and remain in force until the end of January 2027.

Notably, restrictions on diesel, marine fuel and gas oil will remain in effect until Sept 1, 2026, marking a shorter regulatory window compared to the gasoline export ban.
