China's courier sector registered steady growth in July, according to an industry index released by the State Post Bureau on Friday.
The express delivery development index stood at 424.2 in July, up 2.4 percent from the same period last year, according to the bureau.
The ongoing "Express Delivery into Villages" initiative has been instrumental in boosting rural consumption, allowing more villagers to access convenient online shopping services.
The index is compiled based on data from major logistics firms operating delivery services. It reflects overall business activities and trends in the country's courier sector.
