International gold and silver prices closed higher on Friday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold futures for December delivery rose 0.38 percent to settle at 4,437.30 U.S. dollars per ounce, while silver futures for September delivery gained 0.18 percent to close at 65.108 dollars per ounce.
Gold, silver futures rise on Friday
European stocks closed mixed across the board on Friday.
The United Kingdom's FTSE 100 index dropped 0.21 percent, to close at 10,750.11 points. France's CAC 40 index shed 0.16 percent, to finish at 8,636.80 points. Germany's DAX index climbed 0.53 percent, to end the session at 26,440.31 points.
