AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug 18, 2026--

LiDAR News recently featured SAM’s work supporting Energy Transfer’s WellConnect program in the Permian Basin.

This press release features multimedia. View the full release here: https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20260818290501/en/

Since April 2025, SAM has supported approximately 20 gathering lines totaling 27 miles in West Texas. The work includes preliminary survey, alignment sheet generation, construction staking, as-built surveys, and database support.

By supporting the project from early survey through final documentation, SAM helps maintain accurate information that can support construction, future maintenance, planning, and expansion.

The LiDAR News feature also highlights the challenges of working in an established energy region, where existing infrastructure and historical records do not always align with current field conditions.
