The U.S. dollar weakened in late trading on Wednesday.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, fell 0.83 percent to 98.833 at 15:00 (1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro added to 1.1674 dollars from 1.1576 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound rose to 1.3607 dollars from 1.3534 dollars in the previous session.
The U.S. dollar bought 158.32 Japanese yen, lower than 159.6 Japanese yen in the previous session. The U.S. dollar was down to 0.7979 Swiss francs from 0.8125 Swiss francs, and it declined to 1.3810 Canadian dollars from 1.3906 Canadian dollars. The U.S. dollar lost to 9.4386 Swedish kronor from 9.5395 Swedish kronor.
