Hong Kong has retained its position as Asia's most international city, scoring 74.6 out of 100 in the 2026 Asian Cities Internationality Index, released by the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC). The score marked an improvement from last year's 73.7, underscoring the city's world-class infrastructure, attractive open business environment, and unparalleled connectivity.

Singapore held steady in second place with 72.6, followed by Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai and Bangkok.

Beyond the hard data, more than 1,000 international senior executives surveyed rated Hong Kong as Asia's most international city. Global businesses continue to view the city as the premier gateway for regional and global operations.

Six companies from the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks (HKSTP) have been named to Forbes Asia's 100 to Watch 2026 list, and they represent all of Hong Kong's entries on this year's ranking.

Forbes Asia released the annual edition of its "100 to Watch" list in August. HKSTP noted that all Hong Kong companies on the list are from the park, along with one additional Park company from Singapore, which is a testament to the innovative strength of Hong Kong enterprises on the global stage.

The six companies span a diverse range of research and development fields, including healthcare, energy, maritime, e-commerce, robotics and aerospace technology. HKSTP said this reflects Hong Kong's contribution to global innovation and demonstrates that the city provides a solid foundation for scaling businesses.
Each of the six selected companies brings unique expertise to the table:
