China will work to address the reasonable concerns of U.S. companies operating in China, and safeguard a level playing field in accordance with the law, Chinese Premier Li Qiang said on Tuesday.
Li made the remarks when meeting with a delegation of the Board of Directors of the U.S.-China Business Council, led by its board chair Ryan McInerney, in Beijing.
Li also called on the U.S. side to work with China in the same direction, take concrete actions to address China's concerns, and jointly implement the outcomes of the bilateral economic and trade consultations.

Peng Liyuan, wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping, attended on Tuesday morning an event organized by Aigul Japarova, wife of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, for spouses of leaders attending the 2026 Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit.
Upon arriving at the Ala-Archa State Residence, Peng was warmly greeted by Japarova. Peng and the spouses of leaders from relevant countries visited an exhibition on the ethnic culture of Kyrgyzstan and posed for group photos before watching a stage performance at the Enesay Reception House.
Peng said the performance was wonderful and praised the performers for their outstanding artistry. She extended invitations to artists of Kyrgyzstan to visit China for more performances and cultural exchanges so as to give Chinese audiences a closer look at the country's rich ethnic culture.
