EDM meets robot combat as CyberHero x Riyadh invites Tokyo Machine to the arena on September 9

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Sept. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Electronic music producer and DJ Tokyo Machine will perform at CyberHero x Riyadh on September 9, bringing his video-game-inspired sound to the Middle East's first humanoid robot kickboxing event.

Organized by Hero Esports, CyberHero x Riyadh will bring together ten humanoid robots for a night combining live kickboxing, music and immersive entertainment. Tokyo Machine will perform as part of the show, adding an EDM dimension to an event built around the convergence of technology, competition and pop culture.

Known for blending retro 8-bit chiptune melodies with high-energy bass music, Tokyo Machine has built a distinctive identity closely connected to gaming culture. His music has featured in titles including Rocket League and VR rhythm game Beat Saber, while his signature sound has received support from artists including Tiësto, Martin Garrix, David Guetta, Dillon Francis and Afrojack.

Since making his live debut at EDC Las Vegas in 2017, Tokyo Machine has performed at major international festivals and events including Tomorrowland, Amsterdam Dance Event, DreamHack and Rampage.

"CyberHero was never meant to feel like a technology demonstration," said Danny Tang, Co-founder and CEO of Hero Esports. "We want to create a new kind of live entertainment experience where sport, technology, music and gaming culture can come together. Tokyo Machine is a natural fit for that vision."

CyberHero x Riyadh marks the global debut of CyberHero, Hero Esports' new robot sports series. Ten EngineAI T800 humanoid robots will enter the arena, standing approximately 1.73 metres tall and weighing between 75 and 85 kilograms, in live kickboxing bouts designed to put their speed, balance, reaction and combat capabilities to the test.

The event will take place on September 9, 2026 at 9:00 PM in Riyadh — 9/9 at 9.

BERLIN, Sept. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Hisense, a leading brand in global consumer electronics and home appliances, is showcasing its vision of "Companion Living" at IFA 2026 under the theme "Innovating a Brighter Life," bringing AI into everyday experiences through its V AIOS and AI Companion Suite.

At the center is V AIOS, the next evolution of VIDAA OS, built around four core AI capabilities: Sense, Think, Communicate and Execute. Together, these capabilities enable V AIOS to sense people, devices, and their surroundings, understand context and intent, communicate naturally across people and devices, and coordinate content, devices and services to take action on the user's behalf. The result is a more intuitive and human-centered foundation for intelligent living.

Building on this AI foundation, the AI Companion Suite brings intelligence into three everyday areas: Cooking, Laundry, and Air & Energy. In the kitchen, intelligence comes together across the space to make cooking feel effortless. By understanding individual food preferences, available ingredients and context, the kitchen can coordinate the refrigerator, oven and other appliances to recommend what to make and guide the cooking process—transforming what's in the fridge into a dinner made just for you.

In laundry, the same intelligence helps take the guesswork out of garment care, recognizing fabrics and coordinating washing and drying for the way each item should be treated. In the living space, the UR9 serves as a gateway to the connected home, bringing together comfort and energy management to adapt airflow and the home environment around people and conditions.

Together, these innovations demonstrate how AI can move beyond individual smart devices to become a more proactive, personalized and effortless part of everyday life.

Beyond the home, Hisense also announced its partnership with UEFA EURO 2028, marking its fourth consecutive UEFA European Championship partnership, following its collaborations around the 2016, 2020 and 2024 tournaments. From everyday living to global sporting moments, Hisense continues to bring its vision of "Innovating a Brighter Life" to life through technology that brings people closer.
