YIBIN, CHINA - Media OutReach Newswire - 8 September 2026 - The 2026 World Power Battery Conference opened on September 3 in Yibin, Sichuan Province, China. Focusing on industry policies, cutting-edge technologies, innovative applications, new energy storage technologies, and battery recycling, the conference features a series of thematic sessions. These sessions are designed to deepen cross-border industrial collaboration through high-level international exchanges, and to continuously advance international cooperation and pragmatic collaboration in the power battery sector.

According to data released at the conference, China's indigenously developed technologies have contributed to the development of the power battery industry. The driving range of lithium-powered batteries has extended from around 100 kilometers in the early days to as much as 1,000 kilometers today. Charging time has been cut from hours to around 10 minutes. Battery durability has jumped from approximately 300 charge cycles to as many as 1,500 cycles for energy storage batteries, and costs have fallen by 90%.

At the opening ceremony, eight innovative power battery technologies for the 2025–2026 period were unveiled, including power batteries that support ultra-fast charging in around 10 minutes, hybrid solid-liquid batteries with a specific energy of 350 Wh/kg, and large-capacity, high-safety energy storage batteries with capacities ranging from 300 Ah to 600 Ah. These breakthroughs are expected to provide further impetus for innovation across the industry.

Ouyang Minggao, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, pointed out three major development trends for the power battery industry. The first is battery safety across the entire lifecycle. China's mandatory national standard, Electric Vehicles Traction Battery Safety Requirements, officially took effect on July 1. Under the standard, batteries must not catch fire or explode; the gases they release must not harm vehicle occupants; and after 300 fast-charging cycles, they must still pass external short-circuit tests without igniting or exploding. The second is AI empowerment across the whole chain. The application of AI to intelligent battery design, manufacturing, and management will reshape the battery industry across the entire technology, industrial, and value chains. The third is green and low-carbon development throughout the full lifecycle.

At the conference, Wang He, founder and CTO of GALBOT, shared the company's exploration of embodied intelligent robots. One of its latest products, which breaks through the workload limits of humanoid robots, was developed through deep integration with the power battery industry and has already been commercialized on a large scale at companies including CATL. Wang believes that leading players in the sector are likely to reach the "ChatGPT moment" for embodied intelligence by 2028. This, he said, would usher in a steep growth curve for the humanoid robotics industry, with the explosive growth of humanoid robots opening up a new horizon for the power battery sector.

Spain served as the Guest Country of Honor at this year's conference. Betanzos, the Spanish Ambassador to China, said that Chinese investment in Spain is shifting its focus from trade toward long-term industrial projects, bringing production to Spain, creating high-quality jobs, and establishing alliances with local Spanish companies.

The World Power Battery Conference was launched in Yibin, Sichuan Province, in 2022, and this year marks the fifth year that the city has hosted the event.

As the global wellness real estate market is projected to reach USD 1.8 trillion by 2030, WellEra introduces a new perspective on residential investment—where value is measured not only by location, design and financial returns, but also by how well a home supports healthier, longer living. By integrating healthier indoor environments, circadian-friendly lighting, acoustic and thermal comfort, and healthcare support close at hand, WellEra brings "Healthspan" into the conversation around long-term property value—raising a new question: Can where we live become an investment in how well we live?

BANGKOK, THAILAND – Media OutReach Newswire – 8 September 2026 – The Global Wellness Real Estate market is entering a period of rapid expansion, reaching USD876 billion in 2025, up from USD246 billion in 2019, and forecast to reach USD1.8 trillion by 2030. Thailand is emerging as an important market within this trend, with its wellness economy valued at more than USD42.7 billion. Wellness Real Estate grew 22.9%, making it the country's second-fastest-growing wellness sector.

WellEra Introduces ‘Healthspan’ as a New Return on Investment in Wellness Real Estate

For real-estate investors, location, capital appreciation, rental yield, price and lifestyle value remain fundamental. At the same time, as people increasingly seek longer, healthier lives, wellness-integrated properties are emerging as a new investment consideration, raising a question beyond financial returns: what can a property give back to the people who live there?

WellEra, developed by BDMS, introduces Healthspan as a new dimension of residential investment value. Rather than treating wellness as an added feature, WellEra brings BDMS Wellness Clinic's expertise in Scientific Wellness, preventive healthcare and personalized health management into the built environment, creating an ecosystem designed for long-term health and quality of life.

Healthspan refers to the years a person lives in good health, free from chronic illness, disability or significant physical decline, while lifespan measures years lived. Globally, average lifespan is 71.4 years, compared with a healthspan of 61.9 years—a gap of nearly a decade. As people live longer, the focus is shifting from extending life alone to extending the years lived with strength, independence and quality of life.

"Scientific evidence shows that our health is shaped not only by genetics or medicine, but also by the environments we experience every day," said Dr. Tanupol Virunhagarun, Chief Executive Officer – Group 8 (BDMS Wellness Clinic, BDMS Wellness Resort, BDMS Silver), Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited (BDMS). "The future of investment may not be defined solely by financial returns, but by the ability of our homes and communities to help us live longer, healthier, and better lives."

WellEra translates this idea into the built environment through its 6S+ Surrounding framework, incorporating Air, Water, Light, Sound, and Thermal Comfort into residential design. Research has linked indoor air quality with cognitive function, light exposure with circadian rhythms and sleep, environmental noise with sleep and cardiovascular health, and indoor thermal conditions with health. WellEra applies these principles through MERV-14 air filtration with up to 95% efficiency in filtering PM2.5, advanced water filtration and UV treatment, circadian-friendly lighting with UGR ≤16, STC-60 acoustic systems and indoor relative humidity maintained at 50-65%. Healthcare Humanware Supported by BDMS further provides 24-hour nursing and medical support, personalized health management, and emergency services.

Together, these elements position WellEra beyond the conventional Wellness Real Estate model, where wellness often centers on amenities such as spas, gyms and green spaces. By integrating scientific wellness, healthcare and environmental design into everyday living, WellEra establishes a new benchmark for residential investment—measured not only by financial returns, but also by the life value created through healthier living, greater well-being and the opportunity to live well for longer.
