A concert marking the 75th anniversary of China-Pakistan diplomatic ties brought together artists from both nations in Beijing on Sept 6 for an evening of music and dance to celebrate the enduring friendship.
Co-hosted by the Pakistani Embassy in Beijing and the China International Cultural Communication Center (CICCC), the "Ode to Ironclad Friendship" concert, presented on an open-air stage near the Badaling section of the Great Wall, blended musical, dance and artistic traditions from both nations.
Celebrated Chinese performers shared the stage with Pakistani artists, with collaborative performances bridging the two cultures and underscoring the deep and lasting bond between Pakistan and China.
Pakistani Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi spoke at the concert, calling the Great Wall a fitting backdrop for the milestone anniversary and citing its special place at the heart of the China-Pakistan friendship.
He also thanked the CICCC, its chairman Long Yuxiang, and the Yanqing District government for facilitating the event.
The gathering drew Chinese attendees from various sectors, Pakistani community members, and former Pakistani diplomats and ambassadors, including those who had served in Beijing and helped deepen bilateral ties.
Two more presentations of the "Ode to Ironclad Friendship" concert are scheduled for Sept 11 and 12.
Since its launch in 2021, the Beijing Great Wall Concert has been held at the Badaling section of the Great Wall.
