AI-integrated services are taking center stage at the ongoing 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services in Beijing, which is scheduled to be concluded on Sunday.
The five-day event has attracted participants from 90 countries, regions, and international organizations, with more than 1,800 companies showcasing their innovative products and services.
Among the key attractions is an AI-powered mobile clinic. Resembling a regular bus, the vehicle features a range of devices capable of eye scans, heart checkups and medical consultations.
According to Peng Bo, manager of mobile healthcare business at the Beijing Automotive Group, the mobile clinic has helped expand access to high-quality medical services in western China.
"One of the regions this bus has served is Yushu, Qinghai, as part of Beijing's paired assistance program," Peng said.
In addition to traditional devices, the medical bus also features AI agents from Beijing's top hospitals, she added.
"We've integrated AI medical agents developed from massive clinical data across many top-tier hospitals in Beijing. They carry the clinical experience of senior doctors, and that significantly raises the level of care in remote areas," Peng said.
Another eye-catching display at the event is a robot dog equipped with a dual-brain AI system, which enables it to make its own decisions.
"They can go where humans can't safely work, like explosion-risk zones, mines, or high-voltage inspection sites," said Li Jinxiang, integrated marketing manager of Genisom AI, a leading Chinese embodied AI full-chain technology service provider.
China's leading online lifestyle platform Meituan has also presented an AI-powered delivery robot at the event.
In response to concerns that the AI robot threatens delivery riders' jobs, Li Jiwei, executive dean of the Meituan Research Institute, said their goal is not to replace people with robots, but to give them better tools.
"No, because these robots are designed for closed or semi-closed spaces, like airports, or certain residential communities where delivery riders can't ride in. That's where they help riders finish the last stretch," Li said.
He added that Meituan is also rolling out AI agent services for small businesses.
"Small businesses have to analyze data, check their performance, and go through customer reviews. Our AI agent does that fast and helps them make better decisions," Li said.
