The U.S. dollar weakened in late trading on Friday.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, fell 0.31 percent to 100.971 at 15:00. (1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro rose to 1.1399 dollars from 1.1374 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound advanced to 1.3252 dollars from 1.3217 dollars in the previous session.
The U.S. dollar bought 157.13 Japanese yen, lower than 158.85 Japanese yen of the previous session. The U.S. dollar lost to 0.8282 Swiss francs from 0.8282 Swiss francs, and it increased to 1.4144 Canadian dollars from 1.4141 Canadian dollars. The U.S. dollar was down to 9.9045 Swedish kronor from 9.9224 Swedish kronor.
