Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu secretly visited the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Sunday and met President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, multiple media outlets in Israel reported on Monday.
Netanyahu flew on a private plane to Abu Dhabi and spent around four hours in the UAE, said the reports.
The reports stopped short of providing any specifics, citing a lack of comment from both the Israeli Prime Minister's Office and the UAE Foreign Ministry.
According to a report by Haaretz daily newspaper two weeks ago, the UAE president warned Netanyahu that Hamas was planning a major operation against Israel around 10 days before Hamas attacked southern Israel on October 7, 2023. The warning was not passed on to Israeli intelligence agencies or the military, the report said.
Netanyahu denied the report and threatened legal action against the newspaper.

"Over the 66 years since China and Cuba established diplomatic relations, the friendship between the two countries has been passed down from generation to generation. In recent years, under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, the building of a China-Cuba community with a shared future has continued to deepen and become more substantive," said Guo Jiakun, the spokesman, at a press conference in Beijing.
"No matter how the international landscape may change, China will, as always, firmly support Cuba in exploring a socialist development path suited to its national conditions, and firmly support Cuba in safeguarding national sovereignty and opposing foreign interference," he said.
