GOVWARE 2026 TO CONVENE GLOBAL LEADERS AS CYBER MOVES AT AGENTIC VELOCITY

2026-09-29 10:00 Last Updated At:13:24

As AI moves from answering to acting, organisations must confront new realities around security, governance and accountability.

SINGAPORE, Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- AI is moving from systems that generate answers to agents capable of making decisions and taking action. As this shift begins to reshape security operations, infrastructure and enterprise environments, GovWare Conference and Exhibition 2026 will bring together global cybersecurity leaders from 13 to 15 October 2026 to examine what must change, and what must remain anchored, as cyber moves at agentic velocity.

Held at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Singapore, as the anchor trade platform of the Singapore International Cyber Week (SICW) and supported by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA), GovWare 2026 is expected to convene more than 15,000 attendees from over 90 countries and regions, alongside 300+ speakers and more than 300 exhibitors from across government, industry and the cybersecurity community.

"Cybersecurity took several decades to evolve from a specialist technology concern into a whole-of-economy responsibility. AI is now driving another transformation, only at far greater speed," said Richard Ireland, CEO of GovWare. "As systems become capable of making decisions and taking action with greater autonomy, no organisation can navigate the implications alone. The need to connect government, industry and practitioners, exchange knowledge and build trusted partnerships becomes more important, not less."

This year's theme, "Anchored in Unchanging Principles: Cyber at Agentic Velocity," reflects this inflection point. Intelligent systems are increasingly sensing signals, supporting decisions and triggering actions. As a result, the time it takes to move from these signals to decision and consequence is compressing, raising new questions around delegated authority, human judgement and accountability.

Across three days, the programme will address what cybersecurity at agentic velocity means in practice, from defending core systems against evolving threats and designing secure, future-ready architectures, to strengthening governance, people and collective action as cyber risks increasingly cross organisational, sectoral and national boundaries.

More than 300 speakers will contribute perspectives from across the public and private sectors, including Jonathan Zanger, Chief Technology Officer, Check Point Software Technologies; Therese Quieta, Head of System Engineering, Centre for Advanced Technologies in Online Safety (CATOS), A*STAR; David Koh, Deputy Chairman, Ensign InfoSecurity; Bartley Richardson, Chief AI and Autonomous Systems Officer, CrowdStrike; Hoo Chuan Wei, Chief Information Security Officer, StarHub; Snehal Antani, Co-founder and CEO, Horizon3.ai; Kavitha Mariappan, Chief Transformation Officer, Rubrik; and Amir Ben-Efraim, Co-founder and Executive Chairman, Menlo Security.

GovWare 2026 will also examine what these shifts mean for sectors where cyber disruption can have wider economic and societal consequences, through closed-door Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) Forums for Financial Services and Healthcare.

The Financial Services CII Forum will examine AI governance, post-quantum readiness, technology concentration risk and maintaining financial services during disruption, including a live incident scenario, "Keeping Money Moving." The Healthcare CII Forum will focus on patient safety and continuity of care, spanning AI adoption, third-party risk and operational resilience, including "Keeping Care Running: Operational & Cyber Resilience in Action," a scenario-driven discussion on sustaining care during active cyber disruption.

The exhibition floor will further reflect GovWare's international reach, with country pavilions from the Czech Republic, Finland, France and, for the first time, Italy. Bringing together cybersecurity companies and capabilities from across Europe, the pavilions will provide a gateway for international innovation and expertise to connect with the region's cybersecurity community.

Local cybersecurity innovation will also be represented through a showcase jointly presented by the CyberSG Research & Development Programme Office (CRPO) and CyberSG Talent, Innovation and Growth (TIG) Collaboration Centre, which will bring together 10 cybersecurity innovators in a dedicated showcase. These include StrongKeep, AI Guardian and AgentSure with technologies spanning AI security, agentic AI accountability and post-quantum readiness, demonstrating how Singapore-based research and innovation are being translated into real-world applications.

Across the conference and exhibition, GovWare 2026 will connect perspectives from across markets and sectors, reflecting the increasingly global and interconnected nature of the cybersecurity challenges facing organisations today.

Registration for GovWare 2026 is now open. For the latest agenda, speakers and exhibition highlights, visit www.govware.sg.

- Contributing to Singapore's sustainable digital infrastructure initiative -

TOKYO and SINGAPORE, Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Yokogawa Electric Corporation (TOKYO: 6841) announces that its subsidiary Yokogawa Engineering Asia Pte. Ltd. has joined the Sustainable Tropical Data Centre Testbed Phase 2.0 (STDCT 2.0) Consortium, an initiative led by the College of Design and Engineering (CDE) at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Through participation in this initiative, Yokogawa will leverage its deep industrial automation heritage and leadership in autonomous operations to enhance operational efficiency, asset reliability, and energy optimization across the next-generation data center environments.

Driven by the rapid adoption of generative AI and cloud services, demand for data centers is growing worldwide. At the same time, industry faces significant challenges regarding energy consumption, operational resilience, and workforce constraints. These energy and operational challenges are even more pronounced in tropical regions such as Singapore, where hot and humid conditions place greater demands on cooling systems and energy efficiency, making sustainable data center innovation a crucial matter.

Singapore has identified the data center industry as one of its strategic growth sectors and is advancing plans to develop Jurong Island as a hub for next-generation data centers, an initiative led by government agency for industrial infrastructure, JTC Corporation, with a projected capacity of up to 700 megawatts.

STDCT 2.0 is a testbed initiative that brings together partners from academia, industry, and government to develop and evaluate advanced energy management and cooling technologies and establish a sustainable operating model suitable for AI data centers in a tropical climate. Beyond technology deployment and validation, Yokogawa will also work with the consortium to explore a joint research agenda to address emerging challenges where existing commercial solutions are insufficient to meet the demands of data center operators.

Through its participation in STDCT 2.0, Yokogawa aims to further strengthen its AI-powered technological capabilities and R&D expertise to develop comprehensive solutions that will support Singapore's journey towards a sustainable digital economy and also enhance the efficient and stable operation of AI data centers worldwide.

Professor Lee Poh Seng, Director of STDCT and Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, College of Design and Engineering at NUS, said, "AI is fundamentally changing the design and operation of data centers. As rack densities rise and infrastructure becomes increasingly complex, improving individual components will no longer be enough, we need to optimize the data center as an integrated system spanning computing, power, cooling, controls and operations. STDCT 2.0 provides a real-world platform to bring these domains together and validate solutions under the demanding conditions of a tropical climate. Yokogawa's deep expertise in measurement, industrial automation and autonomous operations adds an important capability to this effort. Through this partnership, we hope to develop and demonstrate new approaches that make AI data centers not only more energy- and resource-efficient, but also more intelligent, resilient and scalable for deployment in Singapore and other tropical markets."

Kin Wah Chay, President and CEO of Yokogawa Engineering Asia, commented, "This initiative reflects Yokogawa's vision of enabling industrial autonomy and extending our expertise into the rapidly evolving digital infrastructure sector. We are honored to join the STDCT 2.0 Consortium and work alongside leading partners to accelerate and co-innovate solutions for next-generation AI data centers. Leveraging decades of experience in industrial automation and energy management, we aim to help drive smarter, more efficient, and sustainable data center operations in tropical regions."
