A spectacular National Day fireworks display illuminated the sky over Victoria Harbour at 8 pm on October 1, featuring over 30,000 shells across eight segments. The 23-minute show drew around 380,000 spectators to both sides of the harbour, creating a vibrant, festive atmosphere.

Some residents arrived early with photography equipment and ladders to secure vantage points for capturing the fireworks. Many described the scene as packed with people and brimming with energy.

A mainland visitor noted that the 2026 Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day Golden Week allowed for a 13-day consecutive holiday. It was his first time watching the National Day fireworks in Hong Kong, and he had long looked forward to the sight of fireworks filling the sky.

The fireworks display was divided into eight scenes featuring patterns such as sunflowers, red hearts and yellow stars, symbolising China's prosperity and Hong Kong's bright future. The full display lasted about 23 minutes and could be viewed from multiple locations on both sides of Victoria Harbour, including Tsim Sha Tsui, Mid-Levels, Central, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, and Hung Hom.
