BLACKYAK Unveils "INVISIBLE WHITE" Brand Campaign

"Ghosts of the White Mountain Who Appear in Moments of Crisis"

  • Mountain rescuers who emerge when help is needed and vanish back into the snow after completing their mission are portrayed as the "Ghosts of the White Mountain."
  • The campaign film, featuring BLACKYAK ambassador Hannah Quatember, sheds light on the unsung heroes of extreme environments and the outdoor technology that supports them.
  • The campaign reflects BLACKYAK's philosophy of viewing nature not as something to conquer, but as something to respect and live in harmony with.

SEOUL, South Korea and INNSBRUCK, Austria, Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Premium outdoor brand BLACKYAK, led by Chairman Kang Tae-sun, has unveiled "INVISIBLE WHITE," its 2026 brand campaign. The campaign honors those who live close to nature and are the first to brave fierce snowstorms when someone is in danger. It tells the story of mountain rescuers who work tirelessly to save lives on snowbound peaks in whiteout conditions.

BLACKYAK portrays mountain rescuers as the "Ghosts of the White Mountain" appearing when climbers are in danger, bringing them to safety, and then disappearing back into the snow-covered mountains. By focusing on individuals who remain prepared for accidents that strike without warning and step forward without hesitation when help is needed, the campaign honors the "unsung heroes" who dedicate themselves to the safety of others. It also emphasizes the importance of technical outdoor gear that shields the body from harsh conditions, including strong winds, heavy snow, and sudden temperature drops, while supporting stable movement in demanding environments.

The campaign film centers on Hannah Quatember, an active mountain rescuer in Austria. Opening with sweeping shots of Hannah carving across vast snowfields, the film vividly captures the urgency of search operations and helicopter rescues. In one standout scene, Hannah emerges through deep snow in a whiteout that turns the entire field of view white. Seen through BLACKYAK's own lens, these moments reveal the deep sense of duty that drives mountain rescuers to protect lives without hesitation, even in the most extreme natural environments.

BLACKYAK has named Hannah a brand ambassador, equipping her with high-performance technical gear designed to help her carry out missions more safely amid unpredictable weather. In the film, Hannah and her fellow rescuers wear BLACKYAK gear as they carry out rescues in fierce snow and wind, their dynamic movements clearly demonstrating the functionality and performance that extreme environments demand.

The film also turns its attention to Hannah's everyday life, which is deeply intertwined with nature. Rather than portraying mountain rescuers solely as dramatic heroes, the campaign presents an authentic portrait of an individual who shares a deep bond with nature while quietly fulfilling her role, revealing the inner strength rooted in that way of life. In doing so, the film naturally conveys BLACKYAK's core philosophy: nature is not something to conquer or overcome, but something to respect and coexist with.

"With this campaign, we wanted to explore the meaning of the unsung heroes BLACKYAK has consistently spotlighted, as well as the importance of respecting nature. At the same time, we aimed to showcase our outdoor heritage, built through the continuous development of high-performance products that keep mountaineers safe in the field," a BLACKYAK representative said. "We will continue to communicate BLACKYAK's unique brand philosophy through the authentic stories of people who live closest to nature."

The campaign marks the third installment in BLACKYAK's "UNSUNG HERO" series, which the brand has been rolling out since early this year. In March, its global campaign, "THIS IS HIMALAYAN," highlighted icefall doctors, Sherpas, and alpinists who work behind the scenes to enable safer outdoor activities for everyone. This was followed by the summer campaign, "STILL BLUE," which redefined Korea's haenyeo (female free divers who have long protected the sea while living in harmony with nature) as the "Sherpas of the Sea."

By consistently sharing the authentic stories of those who live in harmony with nature, BLACKYAK further reinforces its distinctive brand identity and its founding Himalayan Original spirit.

SEOUL, South Korea, Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Recognition honors EnergyFluo™, an agentic AI energy management system that orchestrates power from multiple sources, inclusive of grid, battery storage and on-site generation, and optimizes facility load so data centers can flexibly run more IT capacity within the power they already have.

Hanwha announced that EnergyFluo™, an agentic AI Energy Management System (EMS) engineered by TransGrid Energy, a Hanwha Group company, has been named to Fast Company's 2026 Next Big Things in Tech, an annual list recognizing breakthrough technologies driving meaningful innovation and shaping the future of technology.

Hanwha was selected in the Applied AI category for its innovative new product designed to help data centers and large-load facilities navigate increasingly complex power environments. Using agentic AI, physics-based equipment models, and digitized operating procedures, EnergyFluo™ analyzes real-time data across power generation, battery storage, cooling, and IT loads to help operators optimize energy use, with targeted operational cost savings of 5% to 25% depending on site configuration. Human operators remain in control of critical decisions, and the technology behind the system was among the first AI-enabled products globally to receive certification under UL 3115, the Outline of Investigation for Safety of AI-Based Products, in March 2026.

Fast Company highlighted EnergyFluo™'s machine learning and large language model (LLM)-driven capability to autonomously monitor data center operations, analyze potential causes of issues, and determine how to respond to optimize power consumption. It also pointed to Prime Group's adoption of the technology for a nationwide deployment of edge data centers as an example of its real-world application.

"Data centers have become some of the most complex energy systems on the grid, and they can no longer be managed one site at a time," said Dr. Youngchoon Park, CEO of TransGrid Energy. "EnergyFluo™ orchestrates grid, storage and on-site generation as one system and optimizes the load behind them, so operators can put more megawatts to work for IT and run their entire fleet from one intelligent view."

Fast Company's Next Big Things in Tech recognizes innovative technologies developed by established companies, startups, and research teams that are making meaningful progress toward transforming the lives of consumers, businesses, and society. This year's honorees span industries, with each innovation demonstrating the potential to create significant impact in the years ahead.

"The most exciting technology innovations are the ones that move beyond promise to demonstrate real potential for impact," said Brendan Vaughan, editor-in-chief of Fast Company. "The companies and teams recognized on this year's list are tackling ambitious problems with new ideas, products, and approaches that have the potential to fundamentally shape the years ahead."
