Russia is willing to offer help to Iran for the resolution of the current regional tensions, said Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday.
Putin made the statement in meeting with his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian after the former arrived in Turkmenistan for a summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States that starts Friday in the Caspian Sea resort of Avaza.
"Iran is making real efforts to end the conflict, which broke out through no fault of its own, no fault of Iran's," Putin said.
Pezeshkian said Iran has proposed a solution while the United States has also come up with a new one. Iran is making revisions to the latter, and plans to arrange a meeting with the U.S. through mediators after the revision is completed.
