Giant pandas were recently caught on camera enjoying a lazy bamboo snack at a breeding base in Chengdu City, southwest China's Sichuan Province.
Filmed at the Sunshine Delivery House and the Star Giant Panda Nursery House at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, the video shows a panda lying on the ground, cradling a bamboo shoot and slowly savoring its favorite food —a perfect moment for a relaxing day.
The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is a world-renowned institution dedicated to the ex-situ conservation, scientific breeding, public education, and educational tourism of giant pandas. As a model project for panda conservation, it is known for protecting and breeding endangered species unique to China, including giant pandas and red pandas.
