Lawn Sweepers, Chainsaws and HOA Deadlines: What Fall Looks Like at VEVOR's Houston Store

From yard cleanup and tree trimming to pool maintenance and hurricane-season preparedness, Houston-area shoppers are turning to practical tools for the work ahead.

HOUSTON, Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- This fall, homeowners across Houston are turning their attention to the projects that keep their properties in shape—from clearing overgrown yards and trimming trees to maintaining pools, tackling home improvements and preparing for changing weather. At the Houston store of VEVOR, a global home improvement brand, the operations team is helping local homeowners find practical tools and equipment for these seasonal tasks, along with the larger projects that take shape around the home throughout the year.

The team has seen customers come in with specific projects in mind. Recent customer interest has included lawn sweepers, sprayers, trimming tools, chainsaws, fans and weed barriers for outdoor maintenance, as well as pool pumps and filters for seasonal upkeep. Lawn sweepers and chainsaws have been particularly popular as homeowners clean up and maintain their yards, including preparing for Homeowner Association (HOA) requirements and year-end maintenance. With hurricane season continuing into the fall, some residents are also focused on trimming trees and branches and clearing their yards to help reduce potential risks from strong winds.

"Lawn sweepers and chainsaws have been our busiest categories this fall," said Jalal, manager of VEVOR's Houston store. "A lot of that is HOA requirements and year-end yard maintenance. And with hurricane season running into the fall, customers are trimming branches and clearing their yards before the winds pick up. People come in knowing the job they need to finish — our part is helping them pick the tool that fits it."

From Seasonal Yardwork to Bigger Home Projects

Fall projects can look different from one Houston household to the next. While some homeowners focus on outdoor cleanup and routine property maintenance, others use the season to move forward with more extensive renovations or hands-on projects.

For Shane, a customer from East Texas who drove four hours to visit VEVOR's Houston store, fall work is about landscaping and yard maintenance. A returning customer who uses VEVOR tools for both personal landscaping and his business, Shane said the durability and performance of the tools keep him coming back.

"The VEVOR tool is solid and gets the job done, even for the tough landscaping work I do. I had such a good experience with my first one that I came back for another — that says a lot about how much I trust the product," said Shane, a returning customer from East Texas.

His experience reflects the range of work fall brings to the region, from seasonal yard upkeep in the suburbs to commercial landscaping work across East Texas. Having a place to inspect tools in person — and to talk through what each job demands with the store team — has become part of how customers plan their projects.

Ryan Wilson, a homeowner from Baytown, is planning a full kitchen remodel this fall. He also uses VEVOR products across his contracting business, classic vehicle restoration and other practical projects. During a visit to the Houston store, he found a rivet nut tool to help address broken plastic clips on a classic truck—an example of how a seemingly small tool can help solve a specific project challenge.

"I was looking for a better way to fix the plastic clips that kept breaking on my classic truck. Shopping at the VEVOR store helped me find a rivet nut tool that let me create a stronger, more permanent fix," said Wilson. "Being able to see the products in person made it easier to find the right solution."

His experience reflects the range of projects local residents take on, from seasonal upkeep to home renovations and specialized repairs. Having the opportunity to examine a product, assess its size and construction, and discuss options with store staff can help shoppers make more informed decisions before getting started.

Why the In-Store Experience Matters

For many homeowners, choosing the right equipment is about more than finding a product online. Seeing a tool or piece of equipment firsthand can help shoppers determine whether it fits the task, their expectations and the way they plan to use it.

For Pepper, a Houston homeowner and small-business owner who runs a three-truck operation, the value of an in-person visit shows up in the price. He has bought more than 20 VEVOR products over the past four to five years — from a stainless steel barbecue table to truck tools and accessories. He points to a $64 bead breaker that he says does the same job as tools costing $99 or more.

"VEVOR gives me the quality I need at a price that makes sense. I've used more than 20 VEVOR products over the years, and they get the job done. Having a physical store makes it even better — I can see and feel the products, find what I need, and take it home right away," said Pepper, a Houston homeowner and small-business owner.

The store is also serving customers beyond the home. Tracy, owner of Andy B Southern Cuisine in Houston, has made the VEVOR Houston store a regular stop for her restaurant — from stand mixers and stainless steel tables to insulated hot boxes and paging systems — and is working with the team as she adds a dedicated to-go building to her business this fall.

Together, these experiences illustrate the variety of needs that bring customers to the store — from tools for home projects and weekend hobbies to equipment for working trucks and small businesses. The ability to explore a broad assortment in person gives shoppers another way to find products that fit the work they have planned.

Helping Houston's Homeowners Move From Plans to Progress

VEVOR officially opened its Houston store on March 9, 2026. As the store enters its first fall season, it provides local homeowners, DIYers and professionals with a place to explore tools and equipment for seasonal property maintenance, home improvement and the many projects that extend beyond the yard.

Bringing together products across home improvement, lawn and garden, automotive, hardware and other categories, the store allows shoppers to examine products firsthand, compare options and discuss their needs with the team. For those who have researched products online, the in-store experience provides another way to evaluate their choices before deciding what works for the job.

Houston-area residents can visit VEVOR's Houston store at 10951 FM 1960 Rd W, Houston, TX 77070, to explore products in person and speak with the store team about their next project. For more information, visit [vevor.com].

Iron ore terminal with an estimated investment of R$ 3.6 billion is expected to generate up to 3,000 jobs at the peak of construction.

BELO HORIZONTE, Brazil, Oct. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Cedro Participações received approval on Tuesday (October 13) from the State Environmental Control Commission (CECA) for the issuance of the Integrated Environmental License (LAI) for the development of Porto do Meio, an iron ore terminal that the company will build at the Port of Itaguaí, in the Greater Rio de Janeiro metropolitan area.

The decision represents the project's most significant milestone to date. With the successful completion of the environmental licensing process—a widely recognized rigorous and decisive stage for port and infrastructure projects in Brazil—Cedro has obtained confirmation of the terminal's environmental feasibility and fulfilled the necessary conditions to advance to the next phases of the project. This achievement reinforces the company's commitment to developing projects that comply with the most stringent environmental and regulatory standards.

In this initial phase, the license covers the handling of a volume of less than 15 million tonnes per year.

In December 2024, Cedro won the federal auction for the area identified as ITG02 and signed a lease agreement for a 35-year term, renewable for an additional equal period.

"Porto do Meio is not just a project for the next three or five years, but a strategic transformation vector for the coming decades that will significantly increase the competitiveness of the mineral industry in Brazil," states Lucas Kallas, Chairman of Cedro International, part of Cedro Participações.

"This project reflects our vision for the coming years in Brazil's port and mining sectors. We have targets to expand our iron ore production, and the terminal is essential to our growth plan through the beginning of the next decade, giving Cedro independence in iron ore exports," adds José Carlos Martins, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cedro Participações.

Located between Vale's and CSN's terminals in Itaguaí—a position that inspired its name—Porto do Meio will occupy an area of approximately 250,000 square meters, including a stockyard and a berthing facility for vessels requiring water depths of up to 20 meters. The terminal will be connected to the MRS Logística rail network, which links the Iron Quadrangle in Minas Gerais to the coast of Rio de Janeiro state, creating a new corridor for iron ore transportation.

The construction works are expected to take three years and will include civil engineering, dredging, the supply and installation of port equipment, and electromechanical assembly. At the peak of construction, the project is expected to generate approximately 3,000 direct and indirect jobs. Once operational, the terminal will directly employ 256 people and is estimated to generate R$ 1.2 billion in municipal tax revenue.

Designed to accommodate Cedro's production, the terminal will also be open to third parties. As a result, mid-sized mining companies that currently rely on terminals operated by large groups or trading companies to export through Itaguaí will gain direct access to international markets. This means fewer intermediaries, long-term contracts, and greater predictability, as well as competitive logistics costs thanks to the terminal's proximity to the Iron Quadrangle and its rail connections.

About Cedro

Founded in 2018, Cedro Participações is a Brazilian holding company headquartered in Minas Gerais, with operations in iron ore mining, logistics infrastructure, and agribusiness. The company is implementing an investment plan aimed at reaching an annual production capacity of 20 million tonnes of iron ore by 2032, with a focus on high-grade pellet feed.
