De la Cámara joins Smadex, a business unit of Entravision, from Rovio Entertainment (SEGA), the global entertainment company behind Angry Birds, where he served as Vice President of Global Marketing for 5 years and as a member of the leadership team.
Initiating his career at Electronic Arts, de la Cámara brings two decades of tier-1 gaming leadership to Smadex, spanning key commercial and marketing roles across 2K Games, Gameloft, King, Scopely, and Rovio. Throughout his career, he has led teams across AAA console gaming to free-to-play mobile gaming, stewarding iconic global intellectual property such as NBA2K, Candy Crush, and Angry Birds, while managing multi-million-dollar user acquisition budgets.
"Luis has spent his career on the receiving end of every ad-tech pitch in the business," said Jordi de los Pinos, Founder and CEO of Smadex. "He knows precisely how budget allocation and growth decisions are evaluated because he made them at the highest level. Bringing a proven advertiser into the CMO seat gives us an unmatched understanding of our customers' real-world pressures, and it positions Smadex to set a new standard for product, performance and world-class service."
For years, de la Cámara sat in the exact seat advertising platforms pitch to: architecting full-funnel acquisition, protecting brand equity, and holding ad-tech vendors accountable to incrementality, transparency, and bottom-line return on ad spend (ROAS). He brings a rigorous advertiser perspective to Smadex, as mobile marketers are challenged by signal loss and a myriad of options when looking for new growth opportunities beyond the walled gardens. In addition to his operational track record, de la Cámara brings a prominent industry voice and an extensive executive network across the mobile ecosystem, spanning Smadex’s expanding market footprint.
It is also a bet on a specific shift in the market. Connected TV budgets have crossed over from linear, and the majority of CTV inventory is now transacted programmatically, yet CTV is still largely bought on reach and frequency rather than performance. Smadex has built its proposition on the premise that Mobile and CTV work together in unison, with the big screen driving impact and intent, whilst the small screen converts it. Having someone who has sat in the buyer’s chair will help us fine-tune our value proposition.
"Our global footprint is scaling rapidly, and performance CTV has matured into a genuine growth engine for mobile-first advertisers," said Phil Gontier, Chief Revenue Officer of Smadex. "Luis brings deep empathy from the marketer’s side and a clear vision for how we need to deliver. His perspective will be a major accelerator as we continue to expand across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC."
"For two decades on the advertiser side, my job was to separate genuine incrementality from empty platform promises," said Luis de la Cámara, CMO of Smadex. "The reality today is that much of the modern app economy's real value is shifting toward the ad-tech platforms that can actually solve cross-screen attribution and deliver verifiable performance outside the walled gardens. What made joining Smadex an obvious choice wasn't just their proprietary technology and stance on transparency - it was the rare combination of a white-glove, partnership-first approach and a team of brilliant, amazing people you genuinely want to spend time with. Smadex has the ambition, the tech and the team to define this next era of performance advertising, and I’m thrilled to join the leadership team."
As Chief Marketing Officer, de la Cámara will oversee global brand strategy, product marketing, account-based marketing (ABM), and corporate communications, partnering closely with Smadex's Chief Revenue Officer, worldwide commercial organization and product teams.

teamLab Planets TOKYO (hereinafter referred to as “teamLab Planets”) has unveiled Body of Waves, a new artwork in which visitors enter a soft sculpture with their entire bodies.
This press release features multimedia. View the full release here: https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20261014474897/en/
In addition, Existence in the Flow Creates Vortices —where vortices are created behind people as they climb against the flow—and Waterfall of Ephemeral Crystals —where shining particles cascade down to create a waterfall of light particles—have also evolved, further expanding the experience at teamLab Planets.
New Artwork
Body of Waves
As you walk, your feet sink.
This force is transmitted to the large, soft and flexible sculpture spreading across the floor, causing the sculpture to physically deform.
The force generated by your body slowly ripples through the whole sculpture. Likewise, the force generated by another person’s body deforms the sculpture, and that force is transmitted to you. Sharing the same sculpture, people influence one another through their presence and the forces they exert.
Countless lights continuously flow down from high to low following the ever-changing shape of the sculpture.
The sculpture here is not an object to be observed from the outside.
The physical properties of the sculpture itself become a medium that connects the bodies of people.
This sculpture generates its shape from the relationships between people's bodies, continuously transforming them.
Your own body and the bodies of others are connected within a single, continuous space through the chain of forces transmitted through the sculpture.
Evolved Artworks
Existence in the Flow Creates Vortices
Vortices are created behind people as they climb against the flow.
Although a vortex is steady, it is constantly moving and swelling like a powerful life-form.
Despite the existence of the vortex being maintained, the water particles that form it change from moment to moment. The vortex that is being seen now is created by completely different water from the same vortex seen a few minutes ago. The vortex, unlike a rock, cannot maintain a stable structure on its own; rather, it is created and sustained by the energy of water that continuously flows inwards and outwards.
A vortex looks like a life-form because life similarly consumes external energy and matter and discharges it, sustaining its ordered structure within that flow. Life is a miraculous vortex that emerges from a flow of energy in a continuous world.
Water is depicted as a continuum of countless water particles, and the interactions between the particles are calculated to create a three-dimensional simulation of their movement. The vortices create lines from the trails of these particles. The collection of three-dimensional lines are then cut out using what teamLab calls Ultrasubjective Space. In contrast to space that is created through, or cut out by, lenses and perspective, Ultrasubjective Space does not fix the viewer’s viewpoint and in turn frees their body. The floor and walls that the vortices are seen on do not become a boundary between the viewer and the artwork, and the artwork space becomes continuous with the space in which the viewer’s body exists.
Waterfall of Ephemeral Crystals
This artwork is based on an earlier work on a natural waterfall in the mountains of Shikoku, Waterfall of Light Particles - Deep in the Mountains of Shikoku (2016-2017).
Light only reflects off the particles of water that make up the waterfall. The shining particles cascade down creating a waterfall of light particles. The light of the shining waterfall illuminates the surrounding area.
In the darkness, the shining particles leave a light trail afterimage that appears to draw lines in space. From the combination of these afterimage light traces, the waterfall of light is born.
