Vinyl will be released through Made by Mutant with details to follow in the coming weeks.

Bertelmann describes the score as a close collaboration with director James Watkins. One of his biggest challenges was finding a single theme that could hold both Clayface’s inner conflict and the film’s romance.

“Working with James Watkins was a great experience. He gave me a lot of freedom to search for the right sound for the film,” says Bertelmann. “Finding a theme that captured both Clayface’s conflicted personality and the romance was one of the biggest challenges, along with creating sounds for the Nanos and integrating them into the music. James and editor Jon Harris found a beautiful balance between genre-specific storytelling and staying close to the humanity of the characters. That helped me shape the music in the right direction. It was a truly collaborative process.”

Jethwa’s take on “If You Leave Me Now” brings out the heartbreak under the 1976 soft-rock hit. She recorded it to Bertelmann’s production with the London Contemporary Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios.

“When I began working on this song, the sentiment and undertone immediately felt quite heartbreaking to me, so being able to sing it with the production Volker created felt like tapping into the darker nature of the song that had always been there,” says Jethwa. “Recording it at Abbey Road Studios with the London Contemporary Orchestra was completely surreal; it felt like I was in a dream. To have my voice and interpretation of this song woven into the world of Clayface feels incredibly special. Being part of a film and soundtrack of this scale feels extraordinary. I’ll never forget it.”

ABOUT JASMINE JETHWA

South-London singer-songwriter Jasmine Jethwa released her defiant and raw debut album ‘Girl Who Cried Wolf’ earlier this year via AWAL.

Inspired by old English folk music and the esoteric, Jasmine makes alternative-folk songs shaped by her background in dance, her Anglo-Indian heritage (she is half Gujrati), and a deep connection to nature, spirituality and the elements.

Jasmine’s music draws on artists such as Fairport Convention, Sandy Denny and Nick Drake, alongside the devotional vocal style of Lata Mangeshkar. Alongside these influences, her visual world reflects movement and natural landscapes - including harsher climates - which echo the emotional highs and lows of love and life.

Jasmine tours the UK this autumn, including a headline show at London’s Union Chapel.

WUHAN, China (AP) — Fifth-seeded Elina Svitolina is out of the Wuhan Open after losing 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 to resurgent British player Sonay Kartal in the quarterfinals Friday.

The No. 170-ranked Kartal, who missed more than six months with a stress fracture in her back earlier this year, has won six of her eight matches since returning to the elite tour.

She beat two-time Grand Slam finalist Jasmine Paolini to reach the quarterfinals in Wuhan after defeating ninth-seeded Belinda Bencic, the Tokyo Olympics gold medalist, in the second round.

Kartal, who broke Svitolina's serve in the last game, reached a career-high No. 44 ranking in July of last year. Svitolina lost in the quarterfinals at the China Open last week to eventual champion Zheng Qinwen.

Kartal advanced to a semifinal against 2017 French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko, who beat 11th-seeded Diana Shnaider 7-6 (6), 6-1.

Seventh-seeded Iga Swiatek beat American Ann Li 6-4, 6-1.

There was no upset for Li on this occasion after her surprise win against top-seeded Aryna Sabalenka in the second round, with six-time Grand Slam winner Swiatek sealing victory in 1 hour 33 minutes.

Swiatek faces Maja Chwalinska in the semifinals.

Chwalinska beat Maria Sakkari 6-0, 3-6, 7-5.
