The stocks of the Republic of Korea (ROK) closed higher on Monday.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) gained 99.96 points, or 1.76 percent, to close at 5,768.01, and the tech-heavy KOSDAQ Index rose 14.11 points, or 1.78 percent, to finish at 808.89 points.

Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng co-chaired the 30th session of the committee for regular meetings between the Chinese and Russian heads of government, together with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, on Monday via video link.
