WASHINGTON (AP) — Scottie Barnes had 28 points and 14 rebounds, and the Toronto Raptors continued their stellar defensive start to the season with a 112-102 victory over the Washington Wizards on Friday night.

RJ Barrett added 23 points and Kawhi Leonard scored 16 for Toronto, which forced 23 Washington turnovers after Chicago committed 27 in the Raptors' season-opening victory on Wednesday.

Trae Young had 22 points and 12 assists for the Wizards, who trailed throughout and were down by 17 in the second quarter before closing within a point in the third.

Tre Johnson added 20 points, but Anthony Davis finished with only nine on 3-for-12 shooting in his second career game for Washington. He had 34 points Wednesday in their season-opening victory.

Toronto led 18-6 on the offensive glass and 52-32 in points in the paint.

The Wizards closed within a possession for the first time since the first quarter on Bilal Coulibaly's layup to make it 64-61 early in the third, and got it to one with a 9-0 run.

Jamison Battle's 3-pointer made it 81-77 at the end of the third, and Toronto maintained a multiple-possession lead throughout the fourth.

It was all Raptors early.

Barrett and Leonard hit 3-pointers to open the scoring. Collin Murray-Boyles' steal and dunk stretched it to 22-11 and completed a 12-3 run, and Barrett and Allen Graves hit the first two baskets of the second quarter to make it 38-21.

Raptors: Visit Minnesota on Sunday.

Wizards: Complete their first back-to-back set Saturday at Chicago.

HAENAM, South Korea (AP) — Hye-Jin Choi had an eagle and seven birdies on her first 11 holes Saturday on a rain-soaked Pine Beach Golf Links to shoot a 6-under 66 and move into tie for second place after three rounds of the LPGA South Korea tournament.

Second-round leader Haeran Ryu, who birdied her last three holes, still led the tournament by four strokes after a 4-under 68 and a three-round total of 17-under 199.

Choi shot 28 on her front nine and was 9-under before she bogeyed the par-5 12th after hitting into a fairway bunker. She made a double-bogey seven on the 17th after missing an eight-foot par putt after hitting into hazard off the green with her fairway wood.

Steady rain forced course officials to use roller squeegees to remove water from the greens. Most of the final groups took six hours to complete their rounds.

Minji Park shot 65 and was also tied for second with Choi and Yuri Yoshida (68).

Choi is still looking for her first victory in 125 career LPGA Tour starts as a member. She has held or shared a 54-hole lead five times in her LPGA career without converting it into a win.

Last week in Shanghai, Choi was runner-up by one stroke to China's Ruoning Yin after the South Korean golfer led after each of the first three rounds.

Defending champion Sei Young Kim, who ended a five-year victory drought in 2025 with a win last year in South Korea, shot 77 Saturday and was at even par.

In its late-season Asian swing, the WTA Tour moves to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia next week for the Maybank Championship, the third of four events.
