SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct 26, 2026--

Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Amazon Ads have teamed up to launch “Open to Fun” - an immersive, multi-channel campaign to celebrate the theatrical release of the new full-length animated feature, The Cat in the Hat, arriving in theaters November 6. Developed by Brand Innovation Lab, the creative team within Amazon Ads, the activation brings Dr. Seuss's iconic character off the page and into the daily lives of millions of customers through a dedicated Amazon Brand Store Page, custom Alexa experiences, placements spanning Prime Video, IMDb, Twitch, and Alexa - and an original interactive mini game. The mini game lets customers tilt their mobile device to catch the mischievous Things in a fast-paced challenge featuring in-game voice lines from Hader himself.

The Cat's New Playground

The campaign's custom Brand Store Page on Amazon, running through November 8, serves as the central hub, featuring exclusive film content, trailers, and a direct path to purchase tickets on both desktop and mobile.

The page also features an original interactive mini game in which customers tilt their mobile device to catch the Things before time runs out. Built by Brand Innovation Lab using animations provided directly by Warner Bros. Pictures, the experience includes a "How to Play" overlay, a three-second countdown, and a 10-second warning as the clock winds down. Successfully catching a Thing triggers a glowing box animation and a satisfying score pulse; missing one triggers a brief visual cue that keeps the tone fun and playful.

At the end of each round, players see a results screen with the option to share their score or play again - creating a loop of engagement and social amplification. The game is accessible via QR code on desktop.

The in-game voice lines are performed by Hader, bringing the Cat's irreverent personality directly into the gameplay.

Bill Hader Voices Two Alexa Experiences

Two Alexa Branded Moments invite customers to interact with the Cat through their smart speakers and screens:

Both experiences extend Hader's performance beyond the film and into customers' homes, supported by Alexa audio ads and home screen placements throughout the campaign.

A Full-Funnel Campaign Across Amazon

The "Open to Fun" campaign reaches audiences across Amazon's properties - including Prime Video ads, IMDb placements, Twitch livestream integrations, and Amazon homepage and Top of Search placements - building momentum through a carefully sequenced media plan that crescendos in the days leading up to the November 6 premiere.

"'Open to Fun' is a perfect example of a 'surprise and delight' campaign the Brand Innovation Lab team loves to create: transforming beloved cultural IP into an engaging pan-Amazon experience customers can discover, interact with, and share," saidLauren Anderson, US Head of Amazon Ads Brand Innovation Lab.

The "Open to Fun" mini game is available now on the Amazon Brand Store. Customers can play, hear Bill Hader's voice lines, and share their scores with friends.

About The Cat in the Hat

Meet the Cat in the Hat you don’t know! In the wonderfully whimsical tradition of Dr. Seuss, The Cat in the Hat comes to the big screen in his animated theatrical feature film debut, an all-new, epic adventure with an edge, where mischief, magic and mayhem reign supreme. Doing what he does best, the Cat—voiced by Bill Hader—spreads joy to kids in his hilarious, signature and singularly irreverent way, transporting them and audiences on a fantastical journey through a world they’ve never seen before.

In the film, our hero takes on his toughest assignment yet for the I.I.I.I. (Institute for the Institution of Imagination and Inspiration, LLC): to cheer Gabby and Sebastian, a pair of siblings struggling with their move to a new town. Known for taking things too far, this could be this agent of chaos’s last chance to prove himself...or lose his magical hat!

Starring alongside Hader are Matt Berry, Quinta Brunson, Xochitl Gomez, with Giancarlo Esposito, and America Ferrera. Tituss Burgess, Bowen Yang, Paula Pell and Tiago Martinez also star.

The Cat in the Hat is directed by Erica Rivinoja and Alessandro Carloni from their own screenplay, screen story by Caroline Williams, based on the book by Dr. Seuss. It is produced by Daniela Mazzucato and Jared Stern. The executive producers are Bill Hader, Susan Brandt, Bill Damaschke, Kelly Marcel and Steve Zissis, Tim Story and Alex Timbers. It is edited by Dan Molina, with music by Lorne Balfe.

Warner Bros. Pictures Animation’s first full-length feature film, The Cat in the Hat, comes to theaters and IMAX® across North America on November 6, 2026, and internationally beginning 4 November 2026. It will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.

HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) — Raiders coach Klint Kubiak, before even taking questions, opened his weekly news conference Monday by affirming that Kirk Cousins remains the starting quarterback and “there is no controversy.”

Kubiak wanted to quell any talk that rookie Fernando Mendoza, the top pick in the NFL draft, would be handed the reins when Las Vegas visits the New York Jets on Sunday.

“Eventually, Fernando is going to play football,” Kubiak said. “We have a plan. We don’t have a timeline for that. Kirk is playing really well, and we’re in the hunt. It’s really important that we keep playing really well behind him and continue to develop Fernando, but Fernando is going to play at some point. It’s not going to be this week.”

It's been a guessing game around the league when the Raiders would turn to Mendoza. Las Vegas' four-game losing streak certainly increased such chatter as the Raiders (3-4) dropped below .500 for the first time.

But Raiders general manager John Spytek has made clear this won't be a quick turnaround for a franchise that has made just two playoff appearances since reaching the Super Bowl in the 2002 season. And the four teams the Raiders just lost to — Kansas City, New England, Buffalo and the Los Angeles Rams — show the gap that still needs to be made up.

Three of those teams are among the betting favorites to win the Super Bowl, and the Patriots made it to the big game last season. The Raiders played the Chiefs and Bills to within a field goal, but they were blown out by the Patriots and Rams.

As far as a big-picture look at where the franchise stands, Kubiak said the team was focused on trying to “win the next game.”

“We’ve played very talented teams and played much more competitive games than that,” Kubiak said, referring to Sunday's 35-21 loss to the Rams. “When you start the game that slow, you put yourself in position to be behind that much, you don’t give yourself a chance to win.”

Los Angeles took a 28-6 halftime lead and then held off a second-half surge by Las Vegas.

The Raiders have issues throughout their lineup that go beyond what a potential quarterback change could help solve. Cousins leads the league with 16 touchdown passes, and his 97.4 passer rating is his highest since 2023.

That's even with a nearly nonexistent running game, an offensive line that has struggled to open holes and fend off pass rushers and a defense that's having trouble getting off the field.

“He’s the leader of the team, a guy that touches the ball every play,” Kubiak said of Cousins. “So it’s important that the team knows where we’re going.”

Punter AJ Cole can be counted on each week to deliver. Against the Rams, he averaged 56 yards per punt, though one turned into a touchback. Cole showed his quarterback skills on a fake punt in the third quarter, completing a pass to fullback Connor Heyward for a first down.

Plenty. The running game averages 3.0 yards per carry. The defense has tied a franchise record by giving up 27-plus points in each of the past five games. And the offensive line remains a work in progress, to put it charitably.

Dylan Laube has been a weapon as a kick returner. He had returns of 42 and 36 yards against the Rams, and for the season averages 31.1 yards, which would be a Raiders record for a full season. He leads the league among those with 10 or more returns. Laube has four returns that have gone at least 40 yards, which also tops the NFL.

Wide receiver Jalen Nailor, who played in high school in Las Vegas, hoped to show he is capable of being a first or second option after playing in the shadow of Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison in Minnesota. The Raiders believed he could do it, giving Nailor a three-year, $35 million deal with $23 million guaranteed. It hasn't worked out like either party hoped, with Nailor sitting on eight catches for 75 yards and no touchdowns.

The Raiders designated WR Jack Bech (broken forearm) to return from injured reserve, opening a 21-day window in which they must add him to the 53-man roster, place him on season-ending IR or release or trade him. Las Vegas faces that deadline Wednesday regarding WR Dont'e Thornton Jr. (hamstring).

35.8 — Average points allowed by the Raiders over the past five weeks, highest in the NFL.

The Raiders visit the Jets on Sunday.
