Gyula Thurmer, president of the Hungarian Workers' Party, hailed the experience of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in a recent interview, saying it is of great significance for China and the rest of the world.
"As a Hungarian politician I can confirm that the experience of the Communist Party of China is very important not only for China and for the Chinese people, but for the whole international communist and worker's movement. We think, and it is based on the experience of the Communist Party of China, that if a political party, a communist party, wants to achieve real success, it needs a disciplined political party," he told China Global Television Network in an online interview.
He also spoke highly of the CPC's adherence to democratic centralism, highlighting a combination of democratic decision-making and consistent implementation of adopted policies.
"I think there is one more element that a political party should be a democratic one, but a very decisive one. That's why we think and consider very high the fact that the Communist Party of China be an example of the principle of democratic centralism. All the decisions are taken in a democratic way, but once the decision is taken, the leadership and the members of the Party realize it in a consequent way under the political line," said the politician.
