Shenzhen hoists APEC flags to welcome guests ahead of leaders' meeting

With the 33rd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting approaching, the host city Shenzhen has decorated its roads with themed flags to create a warm and festive atmosphere for guests from abroad.

Red flags bearing the official APEC logo and the exclusive slogan "APEC CHINA 2026" flutter in the wind, echoing the APEC-themed purple banner flags on the roadside.

The 2026 APEC meeting will take place in Shenzhen from November 18 to 19.

"I feel very proud as a Shenzhen citizen that this APEC meeting will be held in our city. We are full of anticipation for it," said Zhou Mengqiao, a local resident.
