A giant panda has been captured on camera in a state of total relaxation as it lay down, sprawled across a cool and comfortable bamboo bed in its enclosure in southwest China's Sichuan Province, before seemingly rolling off the structure without a care in the world.

The footage was shot back in September at the China Conservation and Research Center for Giant Panda (CCRCGP) and released on the iPanda multimedia platform earlier this month.

It showed the cuddly creature lounging on a bamboo bed topped with a large block of ice, enjoying a refreshing rest and cooling off on a sunny day.

After a leisurely spell lying on its belly and stretched out over the icy block, the stress-free panda seemed to slowly slide off the bed in amusing fashion, before eventually flopping unceremoniously onto the ground.

The CCRCGP is a world-leading institution dedicated to the breeding and conservation of one of China's national treasures, the giant panda. The center has established a global platform for promoting international cooperation and exchanges involving 18 zoos from 16 countries and regions, 39 domestic animal breeding institutions, and over 10 scientific research institutes.

People from China's Taiwan region face no obstacles in international travel, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Wednesday, in response to a media query about an alleged announcement by Pakistan to close its airspace to carriers from Taiwan in adherence to the one-China principle.

"The one-China principle is a broad consensus of the international community. According to our knowledge, people from the Taiwan region face no obstacles in international travel," said Guo Jiakun, the spokesman, at a press conference in Beijing.
