Content Catalyst Launches Gateway Catalyst, Governed AI Access for Analyst Firms’ Research

CAMBRIDGE, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov 2, 2026--

Content Catalyst, a technology consultancy for analyst firms, has launched Gateway Catalyst, giving analyst firms a governed route for subscribers who want to use their research in AI assistants including Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT and Claude.

Subscribers are already using AI assistants to work with the research they license. Gateway Catalyst means that happens on the analyst firm’s terms. Each request is checked against the licence the subscriber’s organisation holds, so users reach only the research they have access to and any change to those terms applies immediately.

Gateway Catalyst is built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the open standard AI assistants use to reach outside content, so it works across assistants rather than being tied to one vendor. Access is resolved for each query against the analyst firm’s existing subscription terms, so the same licences apply whether a subscriber is using the analyst firm’s own platform or an AI assistant. Gateway Catalyst runs alongside the analyst firm’s Content Catalyst platform and is available now as an additional service.

Commenting on the launch, Daniel Lord, Founder of Content Catalyst, said: “Analyst firms aren’t deciding whether their subscribers use AI on their research; that has been decided for them. The question is whether it happens somewhere they can see, on terms they set. Gartner has built AskGartner and IDC has launched Quanta, but most analyst firms don’t have engineering teams on that scale. Mid-size and specialist firms shouldn’t have to become software companies to hold the same position, and that is what we deliver every day for our clients.”

MADRID (AP) — Four Americans and one Canadian were among the 69 people killed in last week's high-speed train collision in Spain, authorities said.

So far, 66 of the dead have been identified, authorities said late Sunday.

Most of those killed in the crash last Wednesday when a high-speed train slammed into another that had stopped on the tracks were Spanish nationals.

Other foreigners among the fatalities who have been identified include one each from France, Japan, Argentina, Mexico, Portugal, Tunisia and the Czech Republic.

Authorities said three persons remained missing — two Australians and one Japanese.

The crash in the province of Toledo came just nine months after another collision farther south on the same Madrid-Seville line killed 46 people. The collisions have shaken confidence in the Spanish rail network long hailed for its speed and safety.

Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has pledged an investigation and improvements to restore trust in the system that carried some 45 million travelers last year, including millions of tourists.

The crash happened one month before a Nov. 29 general election in which Sánchez is seeking to extend his eight-year premiership. He is now facing questions about the safety of the railways and investments under his governments in Spanish infrastructure.
