Lauri Markkanen had 22 points and eight rebounds for Utah, which lost its fifth straight.

Wembanyama has averaged 28.8 points, 9.8 rebounds and 4.0 blocks during the winning streak, but his scoring wasn't as critical with a balanced attack against the Jazz. San Antonio had seven players score in double figures and held an opponent to less than 100 points for the first time this season.

San Antonio shot 60% from the field while outscoring Utah 35-20 in the third quarter. Wembanyama, Harper, Castle and De'Aaron Fox had six points apiece in the quarter as the Spurs extended their lead to 25 points.

Fox finished with 12 points and Devin Vassell had 11 as San Antonio's starters combined to score 68 points.

The Spurs never trailed after giving up a 15-foot jumper to Markkanen in the game's opening minute. San Antonio went on an 18-2 run following a Flagrant Foul 1 by Darryn Peterson on a wreckless closeout of Vassell's 3-pointer.

Peterson finished with 14 points.

The Jazz were 7 for 26 in scoring 16 points in the opening quarter, a season-low for Utah and season-best for San Antonio for the first period.

Utah made 5 of 11 3-pointers in the second quarter in cutting San Antonio's lead to 37-36, but could not recapture the lead.

The Spurs outscored the Jazz 26-9 on fastbreak points and 52-36 in the paint.

Jazz: At New Orleans on Wednesday night.

Spurs: Host Dallas on Wednesday night.

CHICAGO (AP) — Nazem Kadri and Jaden Schwartz scored two goals apiece, and the Colorado Avalanche beat the struggling Chicago Blackhawks 5-2 on Monday night for their third consecutive win.

T.J. Hughes had two assists as Colorado improved to 15-4-0 in its last 19 games against Chicago. Devon Toews scored an empty-net goal with 2:22 left, and Mackenzie Blackwood finished with 21 saves.

Chicago dropped to 1-5-1 in its last seven games. Forward Patrick Kane departed in the second period with an upper-body injury, and defenseman Bowen Byram missed his eighth consecutive game with an upper-body injury.

The banged-up Blackhawks jumped out to a 2-0 lead on first-period goals by defenseman Wyatt Kaiser and rookie Roman Kantserov. Connor Bedard extended his point streak to six games with an assist on Kantserov's sixth goal on a 2-on-1 rush.

The Avalanche rallied with two goals in 26 seconds. Kadri poked home a loose puck on the goal line at 15:23, and a wide-open Schwartz scored from the left circle at 15:49.

Colorado grabbed its first lead after Bedard was sent off for holding Kadri 13:10 into the second period. Kadri got a piece of Cale Makar's wrist shot from just inside the blue line.

Kadri has four goals this season — all in the last six games.

Schwartz made it 4-2 when he beat Spencer Knight for his sixth goal in the final seconds of the second. He has three goals and an assist in his last three games.

Avalanche: At the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday night.

Blackhawks: At the Florida Panthers on Wednesday night.
