President Xi Jinping visited a vegetable farm and the Siyi village in Panjiawan Township in central China's Hubei Province on Tuesday morning to learn about the local efforts to promote rural revitalization.

Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, inspected the cities of Xiaogan and Xianning in Hubei Province from Monday afternoon to Tuesday morning.

Having 1,108 family households with 4,207 people and 930 hectares of arable land, Siyi Village advances community-level governance through Party building and focuses on establishing a governance system based on collaboration, participation, and shared benefit. It has received a national award for its effective grassroots governance practices.

Vegetable cultivation is both a pillar and a signature industry of Panjiawan Township. Spanning about 10 kilometers and covering an area of 1,800 hectares, the township's vegetable farms produce 210,000 tons of vegetables annually. Thanks to the leading role of the farms, the total vegetable cultivation area in Panjiawan Township has expanded to over 6,600 hectares.
