Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday braved the cold to visit people affected by floods in a village in northeast China's Liaoning Province.
Xi made the trip to the village of Zhujiagou, which falls under the administration of Suizhong County in Huludao City, an area which was badly hit by flooding last summer.
Xi made on-site inspections to learn about the reconstruction efforts which have taken place, and also visited the homes of resettled villagers to learn more about their living conditions.
The visit came just ahead of the Spring Festival, China's most important annual holiday which celebrates the Chinese New Year and this year falls on Jan 29.
