China unveiled its delegation for the 9th Asian Winter Games at a mobilization meeting held by the General Administration of Sport of China in Beijing on Friday. The Chinese delegation, consisting of 257 members including 170 athletes, will participate as the host and compete in all events across six disciplines during the Games. Among the athletes, the ratio of male to female athletes is equal, with an average age of 23. The oldest athlete is 40 years old, and the youngest is 16. A total of 147 athletes are participating in the Games for the first time, while 23 athletes have previously competed in the Games. Forty-eight of the athletes participated in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, including six champions such as Chinese skiers Eileen Gu and Xu Mengtao. The 9th Asian Winter Games, scheduled for Feb 7 to 14 in Harbin, the "ice city" in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, mark the country's first major international ice and snow event since the Beijing Winter Olympics.
