As the 9th multinational naval exercise AMAN-25 gets underway, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of Naval Staff of the Pakistan Navy, made a significant gesture on Saturday by visiting a Chinese navy ship, underscoring the deepening naval ties between the two nations.

AMAN-2025 is being held in Karachi, Pakistan, from February 7 to 11.

Ashraf visited the PLA Navy supply ship Gaoyouhu, where he engaged in exchanges with Chinese naval officials and soldiers.

In an interview with China Media Group (CMG) during the visit, Ashraf expressed satisfaction with the ongoing cooperation between the Pakistani and Chinese navies.

"I welcome PLA Navy ships to Karachi. I'm very happy that they are participating once again in AMAN-25. We have a unique relationship between the two navies. We are working together for the common purpose of maintaining security and stability at sea, and the Pakistan Navy and PLA Navy, apart from AMAN and bilateral exercises, I'm sure we'll be operating more and more together out at sea," said Ashraf.
