The first batch of China's latest emergency humanitarian aid has been allocated to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip after they arrived in the besieged enclave on Tuesday.

The humanitarian assistance provided by China was transported from Jordan to Gaza via land borders. Consisting of 60,000 food parcels, the Chinese emergency aid will be delivered in six shipments. The initial shipment includes 12,000 food parcels.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society coordinated the distribution of the Chinese food aid to displaced Palestinian families who lost their homes due to Israeli strikes.

"The food parcel contains the necessary substances that were not available last period, such as sugar, oil, salt and rice, all of which are expensive in the market and unavailable. Aid will be distributed to 6,200 displaced families whose homes were destroyed," said Saleem Abu Ras from the Palestine Red Crescent Society.

Palestinian families, struggling in harsh humanitarian conditions, began gathering in the early morning, eager to receive the food from China.

"The aid from China, Qatar, and the other ones as well, are useful to us and meet our needs, because the goods in the markets are very expensive for us. Indeed, it's better to receive the aid through the Red Crescent, as our financial situation is at zero," said Fahed Al-Sousi, a resident in Gaza.

Saleha Jibril is among the Palestinians to receive the Chinese aid, who expressed deep gratitude for the support.

"The aid came on time and contains very necessary items for the house, such as rice, lentils, sugar and oil, all of which are necessary supplies, especially with the advent of Ramadan and when our conditions are very difficult. We are happy to receive a food parcel that will fill a little bit of the deficit in our house," she said.

Iran's response to the latest U.S. proposed text for ending the war was sent on Sunday to the Pakistani mediator, Iran's official news agency IRNA reported.

According to the proposed plan, at this stage, negotiations will focus on ending the war in the region, the IRNA report said.

On Feb 28, Israel and the United States launched joint strikes on Tehran and other cities, killing Iran's then Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, senior commanders, and civilians. Iran responded with waves of missile and drone attacks targeting Israel and U.S. interests in the region.

A ceasefire took effect on April 8, followed by talks between Iranian and U.S. delegations in Islamabad, Pakistan that failed to produce a deal.
