The application of AI has empowered the business in Yiwu, an international hub for small commodity production and trade in east China's Zhejiang Province.

Wang Xiudan is a businesswoman of Yiwu International Trade City. She started to make videos with AI software 10 days ago.

Knowing more and more her fellow vendors are using AI to promote their products and receive orders, she also wanted to give it a go.

"Last year, making videos really troubled me. However, since I've changed mindset this year, I think making videos is not that hard. The AI software is quite professional. But for us, we probably only use those words we're familiar with," said Wang.

AI has also been applied to cross-border e-commerce and live stream.

In a local packaging product company, staff members have been adopting AI to communicate with overseas customers. The AI will not only conduct in-depth analysis on customers’demands, but also provide answers with better negotiation skills.

"It can read and understand our customers' messages based on its large model. After getting the intention of the customers via the context of the messages, it can rely to them in a natural way," said Hu Yue, manager of a local packaging product company.

The useful AI applications mentioned above come from a service platform launched by the Yiwu International Trade City -- chinagoods.com.

As DeepSeek gets more popular, the technical team of chinagoods.com is also busy upgrading their large model to gather more information and updating their database.

"After connecting with DeepSeek when the Spring Festival holiday came to an end, we've started to find some adaptable applications to give it a try. The results show that DeepSeek is much better than some other large models," said Lou Qinfeng, technical director of chinagoods.com.

The platform has shown that after connecting with DeepSeek, the cost for vendors to make videos has lowered by 90 percent, the accuracy rate of multilingual response has risen to 98 percent, and the international trade dispute rate has fallen by 40 percent.

"Our platform can quickly generate quality marketing videos. With these marketing videos, they can be posted worldwide to attract more buyers. For now, there are over 20,000 businesspeople using our AI product, and we expect that the number will grow to more than 30,000 this year," said Li Songwei, deputy general manager of chinagoods.com.
