Singaporeans flocked to the premiere of the Chinese animated blockbuster "Ne Zha 2" at The Projector movie theater on Sunday, drawn in by the film's captivating storylines and vibrant visual effects.

An hour prior to the screening, numerous audiences had already arrived at the cinema to snap photos with actors portraying animated characters from the film and to collect film posters.

The tickets for the premiere were sold out in half an hour after being released, and two more screenings were added due to overwhelming demand from the audiences, according to the cinema.

"Viewers' response was incredibly enthusiastic. I have never seen such a popular film in my 22 years of experience. This film is suitable for the whole family to watch together. Its animation technology is advanced, the character design and technology are amazing, and the plot is engaging," said Joyce Lee, managing director of Encore Films, the Singaporean distributor of "Ne Zha 2".

After the screening, audiences expressed their admiration for the film's captivating story and stunning visuals.

"I found it very accessible. I found it was universal themes that were very approachable. And I'm going to be telling my children to go see this movie because I think that's a message they need to hear," said Jordan Dea-Mattson, an American viewer.

"It was truly, truly spectacular, like it included so many different aspects and combined so many different movie genres together. It included some parts which was super funny and humorous, it also included some serious action parts and it also included friendship and relationship between mother and son, and family," said a viewer from Singapore.

"Ne Zha 2", now ranked 7th on the all-time global box office chart, will be officially released in Singapore on March 6.

Protesters filled Mexico City's Paseo de la Reforma on Saturday, rallying in solidarity with Venezuela and denouncing U.S. influence in Latin America.

The United States launched a large-scale military operation against Venezuela in the early hours of Jan 3, taking by force Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores.

Holding numerous flags and banners while chanting slogans intermittently, a huge crowd of protesters criticized U.S. military actions against Venezuela and the unlawful control over President Maduro and his spouse, calling for respect for national sovereignty and regional peace.

"We oppose the U.S. intervention and hegemony towards the countries in Latin America. The United States has flagrantly trampled on international law, bombed Caracas and kidnapped the Maduro couple. The U.S. interventionism has become extremely blatant. We must firmly oppose and be highly vigilant, because this is not only related to a certain country, but also to all countries," said a protester.

"We demand that the United States stop interfering in Venezuela's internal affairs. The country must immediately cease its exploitation and plundering of the countries in Latin America," said another protester.
