A film studio in east China's Shandong Province opened to the public on Wednesday, attracting flocks of visitors to experience the magic of filmmaking during the five-day Labor Day holiday.

The May Day holiday began on Thursday.

As the filming location of action comedy Detective Chinatown 1900, Leling Film Studio meticulously recreated scenes from the movie. It was one of the blockbusters during 2025 Spring Festival holiday, ranking the second with a box office of 2.28 billion yuan.

Strolling through the streets lined with retro-style buildings, tourists are feeling as if they have stepped onto the movie set.

"The set design is exactly the same as in the film. It's very immersive, and a great place to take photos," said Zhou Zhimei, a visitor.   "Even though I haven't seen Detective Chinatown 1900 yet, I've seen clips online, and being here in the film studio, the scenes feel incredibly realistic and impressive. I can't wait to go see the movie now," said Hu Wenjie, another visitor.

The studio has integrated film shooting with interactive tourism experiences, allowing tourists to participate as actors in scenes.

"To enhance the immersive experience, we've recreated the film sets in 1:1 scale, allowing visitors to step onto the set and experience the behind-the-scenes magic of filmmaking. We've also scheduled nearly a hundred performances and shows throughout the day, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the movie's plot and storyline," said Liu Yang, President of Leling Film Studio.

Venezuela's acting president Delcy Rodriguez said on Sunday that the country is at a critical stage and must achieve national unity, emphasizing that maintaining internal cohesion is of utmost importance.

In a televised address, Rodriguez called on the public to continue trusting the government under the current highly complex political circumstances.

Her statement comes in the wake of a January 3 military operation conducted by the United States, during which Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife were taken into custody and flown out of the country.

The operation resulted in at least 100 fatalities.

Rodriguez, who was sworn in as acting president two days later on January 5, framed her appeal for unity against this backdrop of external intervention.

Meanwhile, Venezuelan Minister of Communication and Information Freddy Nanez denounced the U.S. actions as a "war crime of the 21st century" when speaking at an international cultural event on Sunday.

Nanez condemned not only the January 3 airstrikes but also the associated cyber and electromagnetic attacks.

He accused the United States of violating international law through the forced removal of President Maduro and his wife, while attacks on civilian infrastructure, including medical facilities, represent a flagrant breach of humanitarian norms.

He reiterated that the stigmatization and military attacks against Venezuela are driven by economic interests, particularly the desire to control its abundant natural resources.
