Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, a popular tourism destination offering Silk Road heritage and awe-inspiring scenery, is attracting an increasing number of inbound tourists, as "China Travel" continues to trend across the globe.

Kashgar, a city in Xinjiang where ancient history meets vibrant modern life, leads the way in drawing international tourists who want to experience profound history, appreciate unique architecture and try mouth-watering delicacies.

Once marveled at by Marco Polo as he journeyed along the Silk Road during the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368), Kashgar's storied markets have become thriving bazaars. Old caravan trails echo through its alleyways, while teahouses whisper stories of its Silk Road past.

Here, heritage is not just preserved, it's alive - enabling tourists to explore cobbled lanes, admire traditional architecture and sample street food that conjure up centuries-old flavors.

"I am visiting Kashgar for the first time, and this region is very different. It's a very hidden place not many people know about, so this is a good experience," said Valbona, an Albanian tourist.

"I lover Kashgar. I think more people should visit. So, my favorite food has been the breads, the 'Nang' breads, also the noodles. They're known for their wheat noodles here, so I recommend trying dishes of noodles. And I would love to come and visit again, and I think other people should visit again," said Arlinda, another Albanian tourist.

Beyond the sights and flavors, Xinjiang is rolling out the welcome mat for foreign visitors with visa-free entry and new air routes.

Urumqi, the region’s capital, links to 23 regions in 20 countries, including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, through 26 flight routes.

"This is my second trip to China. Everything is convenient, and the people are welcoming. And I also love the amazing food here. If I have any problem during my trip, it can be resolved quickly. After returning to Azerbaijan, I'll encourage friends and family to visit too and tell them how hospitality the Chinese people are," said Sullidin, an Azerbaijani tourist.

Nicaragua's co-foreign minister Valdrack Jaentschke has warned that militarism must never be allowed to rise again, as Japan's recent moves to lift its arms export ban and revise the pacifist Constitution continue to draw international concern.

This year marks the 80th anniversary of the opening of the Tokyo Trials, where Japan's Class-A war criminals from World War II were brought to justice.

In an interview with China Global Television Network (CGTN), Valdrack Jaentschke voiced his concern that today's world order is being undermined by interventionism and other challenges.

"It is necessary for us to remember that after the end of World War II, countries worked hard to build a new international order based on international law. However, regrettably, more than 80 years later, we are seeing that this once explored and attempted order is being challenged by interventionism, a confrontational mindset, and tendencies like 'might makes right.' These are precisely the conditions that gave rise to fascism and militarism in the past, which ultimately led to the tragedy of World War II," he said.

He said the international community has a responsibility to pursue a new international order -- one fundamentally grounded in peace.

"Looking back at the history more than eight decades ago and comparing it with today's reality, it is our responsibility to recognize that the world should, and must, build a new international order that is more just, fairer, rooted in international law, based on a logic of mutual benefit and shared success, and fundamentally grounded in peace," said the minister.

"Today, as we revisit the Tokyo Trials, it is meant to remind the world that such a tragedy must never be repeated -- and that we must do everything in our power to prevent it from happening again. We must stop that dark world -- born from militarism, interventionism, and fascism -- from ever returning," he said.
