The ongoing 2025 Beijing CBD Forum has become a pivotal platform for multinational enterprise collaboration, spotlighting China as a booming hub for tech investments, said Rani Jarkas, chairman of global boutique investment firm Cedrus Group.
The 2025 Beijing CBD Forum Annual Conference opened in Beijing on Wednesday, under the theme of "Dialogue with the World for Common Development". The three-day event features multiple parallel sub-forums and nearly 30 sideline events.
Speaking with China Global Television Network (CGTN), Jarkas highlighted the global significance of the forum, emphasizing its role as a bridge for international cooperation and market access between Chinese and foreign enterprises.
"I think the CBD forum is a very important forum for Beijing in general, because it's the window of multinational cooperation and collaboration between Chinese companies and foreign companies coming to China for innovation and for technology, and to access the Chinese market. I think it's a same way for Chinese companies that they want to go abroad. So, the CBD forum is really the window for international collaboration," Jarkas said.
Jarkas noted China's rise as a prime destination for foreign investment, driven by its vast opportunities in high-tech innovation.
"China already is a hot spot for a lot of investments, especially in new technology and innovation. From my personal point of view, I love the culture, and I like the people. I've been here for over 15 years doing business in China, and in many cities. And I think that China has a lot to offer to the world. So we feel very confident about China's growth and innovation globally," he said.
