The international edition of "The Classic Quotes by Xi Jinping," a multilingual television show produced by the China Media Group (CMG), was launched in Kazakhstan on Monday as Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Astana to attend the second China-Central Asia Summit.

The program features a selection of classical Chinese sayings often quoted in the speeches and writings of President Xi, focusing on themes such as openness and cooperation, scientific progress, ecological protection, and cultural innovation.

The show presents Central Asian audiences with the historical and cultural foundations of Xi's governance philosophy and offers a vivid portrayal of Chinese modernization.

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a congratulatory message which was read out at a special launch ceremony for the program in Astana on Monday.

Officials and media representatives from the five Central Asian countries -- namely Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan -- said the program serves as a new bridge for understanding China's development in the new era and in appreciating the depth of Chinese culture, while building lasting momentum for a closer China-Central Asia community with a shared future.

The series will air on national TV stations and on major media platforms in countries across Central Asia.

Protesters filled Mexico City's Paseo de la Reforma on Saturday, rallying in solidarity with Venezuela and denouncing U.S. influence in Latin America.

The United States launched a large-scale military operation against Venezuela in the early hours of Jan 3, taking by force Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores.

Holding numerous flags and banners while chanting slogans intermittently, a huge crowd of protesters criticized U.S. military actions against Venezuela and the unlawful control over President Maduro and his spouse, calling for respect for national sovereignty and regional peace.

"We oppose the U.S. intervention and hegemony towards the countries in Latin America. The United States has flagrantly trampled on international law, bombed Caracas and kidnapped the Maduro couple. The U.S. interventionism has become extremely blatant. We must firmly oppose and be highly vigilant, because this is not only related to a certain country, but also to all countries," said a protester.

"We demand that the United States stop interfering in Venezuela's internal affairs. The country must immediately cease its exploitation and plundering of the countries in Latin America," said another protester.
